Hey there, I’m Kate!
I’m a coach for technology professionals who want to do great work without losing their peace of mind.
Let’s be honest: working in technology can be a lot. The relentless pace, shifting industry demands, and the messy politics—it adds up. If you are dealing with chronic burnout, feeling like an imposter despite your success, or just trying to survive a high-pressure environment, I want you to know two things: it is hard, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I understand the toll this industry takes because I spent a decade living it.
Before becoming a coach, I climbed the engineering ranks to Senior Engineering Manager of a team working on the Linux Kernel—a massive project with over three decades of history. Navigating a deeply male-dominated field, managing a global team through a crisis, and working under famously intense leadership—doing all of that wasn’t just a job. It was a real-world masterclass in figuring out how to stay grounded, resolve high-stakes conflict, and protect my own well-being.
That experience sparked my mission: to help people in technology balance technical excellence with a healthy, human-centric life.
The Best of Both Worlds:
Technology Experience + Psychological Depth
Professional growth is about more than time management and AI productivity hacks. Real progress comes from looking honestly at your workplace realities and building practical strategies that address your personal needs.
Because I am fluent in technology and understand the science of human behavior, our conversations bridge the gap between your daily workflow and your mental well-being.
The Technical Side
I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from UMass Lowell and an M.S. in Engineering Management from Johns Hopkins University. I also have 10 years of technology industry experience.
I know how engineering teams operate, what it takes to manage complex deliverables, and the unique pressures of technology leadership.
The Human Side
I am currently earning my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Merrimack College.
This allows me to bring evidence-based, trauma-informed principles into my coaching to help you get to the root of workplace stress, overwhelm, and interpersonal friction.
A Space Where You’re
Free to Just Be Human
Observant, thoughtful, and practical, my approach centers on a simple truth: you are the expert of your own life. I’m here to listen deeply, equip you with tools to de-escalate stress, and provide a supportive structure so you can grow at your own pace.
A Little About Me
When I’m not coaching, I’m usually grounding myself with a few of my favorite things:
I’m a very petite person, but I absolutely love strength training. Moving heavy weights is my favorite way to clear my head.
Animals are a huge source of healing for me. I foster for a local shelter, so I often have a rotating cast of furry guests keeping me company.
I have eight incredible nieces and nephews who keep me laughing and remind me of what matters most.
My resident co-pilot is my cat, Hazel, who has heterochromia (one blue eye and one green eye). I’ve always loved that about her because it perfectly mirrors my own mindset—being open to looking at life through multiple perspectives.
